With the fluctuation in oil prices, coupled with the free fall of the Nigerian currency leading to a decline in various economic and health indices in the country, coupled with global political and economic instability leading to a strain in donor funds available for projects, it became apparent that there is a need to strengthen the coordination of local resources, especially from the private sector, in addition to the public sector, to complement foreign aid, especially to improve the lives of the poor and vulnerable (underserved) populations.
Thus in 2023, Kandi Development Services, was birthed, registered, to provide that handshake between the business and the philanthropic/social worlds. This would strengthen coordination and investments from the private sector, and encouraging that handshake with the public sector, to help address development issues.
