To commemorate World AIDS Day 2023, Kandi Development Services was represented by the Head of Programs, at the Awareness and Sensitization workshop organized by the Akwa Ibom State Agency for the Control of AIDS at the secretariat of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, on November 28, 2023.
With the general theme of Remember and Commit, this year’s commemoration was integrated into the state, with the sub-theme: Communities: Leadership to end AIDS by 2030, to encourage community leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS. This brought great awareness with talks on the facts, knowledge, and action of HIV, ANC, and GBV prevention services, to the grassroots (local communities). Various organizations, including NGOs, CSOs, CiSHAN, NEPHWAN, local community women (from Nsit Atai, Nsit Ibom, Nsit Ubium, and Ibesikpo Asutan LGAs), the Ibesikpo Local Government Area representative, as well as representatives from NACA, SACA, Min of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, were in attendance.
